Relationship Stats
How they met: Melinda's apartment building caught on fire and Jim was one of the paramedics on the scene. After a bit of talking and persuading, Mel gave in and went out with him.
How long were they together: Melinda and Jim were together for four years before finally getting married. The couple was married for almost four years before Jim Clancy died of an embolism after being shot in the right shoulder. He soon took over the body of Sam Lucas after refusing to go into the light and began dating Melinda. However, he could not remember any of his past life except for occasional flashes. Sam took a daring leap of faith as Melinda was trapped and regained all Jim's memories. Jim and Melinda recently remarried.

Children: Melinda and Jim have had one miscarriage, and are now expecting their first baby. It has recently been revealed that their baby is a boy named Aidan Lucas Clancy.

10/2009: 5 yrs later they have a beautiful little boy named Aiden Lucas Clancy. Aiden also has a special gift....stay tuned to find out what gift he has!!!

    Melinda: Jim this isn't helping.
    Jim: Beth all she ever wanted from you was for you to accept her as she is! And maybe from her father, maybe an explanation! You know, how do you walk out on a family! And for all that I mean look at her, she still wants to understand, she still wants to forgive. But every time she opens her heart to you, you stick a knife in it! Beth, you ran away from everything you could do in your life! My wife runs toward it! And for that she deserves just the littlest bit of respect! You know a little truth! I am sorry
    Melinda: Mom, I . . .
    Beth: No, he's right. You're right. There is another missing piece.
    Melinda: What?
    Beth: When Paul was arrested . . . I was pregnant.
    Melinda: Mom what are you saying?
    Beth: I was pregnant with you.
    Melinda: (tear rolling down face, teeth clinched) Paul Eastman is my father! You're lying!
    Beth: No. We didn't tell you, we didn't tell anyone. Tom wanted you and he wasn't afraid that you might have this thing, . . this so called gift.
    Jim: (looks angry in the back ground)
    Melinda: (hits table and is frantic) YOU'RE LYING!! YOU'RE LYING!! (picks up her jacket and leaves)
    Jim: (looks at Beth as if to say really, you couldn't have told us this earlier? He looks really mad and disgusted) **I really liked this part of the episode because it really showed us Jim's true feelings and how much he cares and worries about Melinda!**

  • Jim: I just wish I could do more (as he gently rubs Mel's cheek)
    Mel: You do a lot . . . And this ghost (Mel takes off her shirt) Well . . . He can't do what you're thinking about right now! (she puts her shirt on Jim's shoulder and walks to the shower)
    Jim: Works for me! (He takes off his shirt and runs to the shower!)
The Vanishing
Mel: The whole week I was in the hospital was the most boring month of my life.
Jim: Boredom is underrated.
Mel: Boredom is boring, and you can't stop me so don't even try.
Jim: You just got out of the hospital.
Mel: And I feel fine.
Jim: You can work every other day
Mel: *stares*
Jim: Quarter days.
Mel: No
Jim: Half days. That's my final offer.
Mel: Or what?
Jim: I will withhold my husbandly attention.
Mel: Right...
Jim: Yup.
Mel: *hugs Jim*
Jim: *funny face* Must resist...
Mel: First half day starts now.
*Tehe, love the boldness of Mel for once! Heh, they're straaange people, but I can't help but love them both!*-somb0dy

Does anyone else think this season was a waste? THey lost 2 MILLION VIEWERS!!! Jim's new life sucks and he said it last season, he only wanted to be a doctor because of his dad (if my memory serves me right). I have ben a loyal fan for a long time and I haven't missed one episode, but this "exploring new horizons" crap isn't working for me.

Oh god. Well, now Melinda and Sam are dating... Right. But she lied to Sam, and then there was a re-run. -sad face- I'm so confused. I really don't think that the writers should of ended the last "new" episode like that. I mean he at least should of said, "Oh yeah, well I went to the fire place thingy and you weren't there!" And Sam is UGLY. Damn Jim should of at least looked at his face then reincarnate if the dude was hot enough! Gosh, and ewwie she kissed him...
Bwahaha Nikki is GONE! ( : -joy- <-- Kaee.. whatever I know that's old news.
But still, I'm scared that Melinda is going to get caught with more and more and MORE lies and he's going to be like, 'You know what?! You're a LIAR! It's Over!" -depressed-
And she can't tell Sam about ghosts, and reincarnation because Sam isn't open to those ideas!
And has anyone noticed that Sam looks like Jim only to the people who watch it one t.v. and not Melinda or Eli♥.
Gosh.

Plus when is Melinda gonna have a baby!?
