| Ron, Energized quince seeds are what I use to protect a person or place from earthbound ghosts. I get them from relatives in Italy, and they have always worked for me. Earthbound ghosts do not like them because they cannot get into a house that has the seeds in place or close to a person if they are wearing a seed. Nobody likes to be told what to do, alive or dead. | Hello Mary, Even if a person says that they do not believe in an afterlife when they are alive it is impossible for them to say that after they have died. The very second you take your last breath the bright white light is there. You see everyone, hear everyone, see your funeral and see your body in the casket. It is a reality check: There is more! | Jennifer Olney, MD | Dear Mary Ann, My 10-year-old daughter is afraid to go upstairs by herself, especially at night. She says that she hears strange noises and sees things. I don't know whether this is her imagination or whether there really are ghosts hanging out. I have to admit there have been a few weird incidents at our home, including me smelling cigarette smoke recently in my bedroom-nobody in our home smokes. I have had my name called out to me while watching TV alone in my bedroom and I once heard a chair being pushed across the kitchen floor during the middle of the night when everyone was in bed. | Dear Jennifer, Please trust your daughter. Children are very aware of what is going on. Everything that you have mentioned tells me there is an earthbound ghost in your house. I cannot tell if someone is in your house 24/7 or if a spirit is coming in and out, but you do have some activity. Try having your house blessed by an ordained priest or minister. A word of caution: Do not get holy water and sprinkle it around yourself. This will only make matters worse. You can also try using a smudge stick. A smudge stick is what Native Americans use to clear a house. Just follow the instructions that come with the smudge stick. Doing one or both of these will help. Mary Ann | ||
| Velma Holland | Hi Mary Ann, Last February my best friend died of cancer, only being diagnosed six weeks earlier. It came as an awful shock. Then two weeks later my beautiful mum was in hospital with a very bad cough, fell out of her bed, hit her head and had about 16 stitches. Forty hours later she had a stroke and died that same night. I miss my mum so much I feel like I am going crazy. I so very much want to try and get her to contact me, as I need to know she is alright and if my friend is with her at all. And also my first born, who was a boy, died and I just wondered if he found his nana or if my mum has found him? I would do anything on this earth to contact my mum or my friend. My other close friend died a month before my best friend with a brain aneurysm. I would love to think they are there together but I just mostly need to know that my mum is happy now? I work as a cleaner out at the cemetery where my mum is, so I visit her most days, but I have not had any sign of her at all. I have placed her glasses on my bedside cabinet with a few of her things so she can see where I am. Does this help? Thanks so much and I wish you well. Velma | |
| Hello Velma, You have asked some very good questions that can apply to a lot of folks. Everyone who dies and crosses over (goes to the light) sees all of their relatives and friends that have died before them. Somehow everyone finds who they need to be with. Eventually any ghost that crosses over can come back into your dreams, and this is when you can communicate with them, and ask all kinds of questions! Having items from your loved ones does not make them come to you any faster. It can sometimes take two or three years before they come to you in a dream. You just have to be patient. | Dean | What a precious gift you have! I always felt a connection with the spirit world and wish I could enhance it to the level you have been blessed with. I would like to know if there is any relationship between a spouse, who almost always has a negative attitude, response or feeling about everything from daily life, work, politics, etcetera and possibly being influenced by some outside negative force? If so, how can I help to reverse this in him? I don't think he himself would be open to actively participating in anything since he doesn't believe in the reality of the spirit world as I do. | Hi Dean, Yes an earthbound ghost in a house can have negative influences on the living. If the ghost was crabby or ornery or had attitude when they were alive, that is the same kind of personality they are going to have as an earthbound ghost. If the ghost takes up residence in a house and is there for a while, his energy can affect the living. You need to try to get the earthbound ghost to move on, and out of your house. Try having the house blessed or smudging, doing both or at least doing one of these things will bring a little help. Mary Ann | ||
| Barbara Shirley, NY | Thank you, Mary Ann, for your time. Almost two years ago I lost an animal who had made a special connection in my life. I still grieve for this wonderful animal and have kept a journal since his passing. After his passing, I experienced signs that made me feel he, or someone on the other side, was trying to let me know he was OK. About a year after his passing, my husband and I went to a reading by George Anderson, a psychic on Long Island. My parents came through and it was wonderful, but never a mention of Major. I had actually hoped his spirit would come through at that time. While I was delighted with the things my parents told me, I left with a heavy heart. | Dear Barbara, Is it not amazing how our animals are so much a part of our lives? You already experienced signs that he was OK. These are not everyday occurrences, so you were very lucky that you got a message. Most psychics are tuned more into humans than animals, so the reading you had with George Anderson does not surprise me. There are a couple of things that you can try. Be aware of your dreams: My Bichon Frises (Major) comes to me in a dream and I can see that he looks great. You can also talk to your parents in a dream and ask them to bring him next time so you can see for yourself. If you do not remember your dreams, get an herb called mugwort and make up a little pouch of it. Put it between your pillowcase and pillow and it will help you have clearer dreams and also to remember them. Mary Ann |

I have been told I can see them but I can’t and I can only feel them when I was 5 I said stuff that no one talk about and now I am 14 I can fell them but I can’t see them I need help because I am now sick of not been abele to help them and I am sick off my dad saying I cant see them I CAN help me what should I do how can I get to see them I have wait and wait and I cant find spiritual development in the yellow pages or on the internet please help me Love Natalie xxxx
