| Hi Raul, If the ghosts in your house are earthbound, you do not want to communicate with them. All that will do is give them more energy, which could cause problems in your house or with your health. If they are ghosts that have crossed over they will not cause problems. The easiest way to talk to them is to leave out a note written on one side of a piece of paper that says, "Please talk to me in my dreams." Then you can ask the what, why, who, when, where, and how. | Kim Lansing, MI | When I was a little girl, I would hear a voice that sounded like my mother calling my name. I would walk into the room where she was and ask her what she needed. After, she would look at me with confusion and I would try to explain to her that she was calling me. And to this day she denies it. This happened as often as I can remember, and lasted until I was about 12. Then it stopped. I don't know if the reason was that I wasn't listening anymore or if I chose to ignore it. My mom tells me that the voice could have been her mother who died of cancer before I was born. When I was young I never thought of the voice as a spirit, but now that I am older the possibility that it may have been surrounds me. Why did the voices stop? And who could it have been calling my name? Kim | |
| Hi Kim, There is no way of knowing now who was calling you, but your Mom was probably right. It could have been your grandmother. You are a perfect example of how children can see, hear, or sense ghosts when they are young. As children get older most of them loose the ability to do this. If it was your grandmother, she was most likely not earthbound. Someone who has died from cancer usually crosses over. She was just visiting like most grandmothers. Mary Ann | ||
| Jenny | My husband died in 1975 and I took it pretty hard. I moved the following year back to my home state. Having children, I needed a way to make money fast for a home for them. I took a job in a bar. One night as I walked to the restroom a man asked me if he could buy me a drink. I turned, looked and don't remember much, except that he told me everything is going to be okay. He looked identical to my dead husband and I ran to the restroom terrified of what I had seen. After, I searched the bar, restrooms and outside, but he was nowhere to be found. I was very upset and thought I was losing my mind. Is it possible he followed me to let me know that our lives were going to get on track and I would not have to continue working that kind of job? I did find a place to live and a good job and things did get better. I have never believed in ghosts, just angels. At the time I saw him it was close to a year after he passed and I was in a mess emotionally and wore a size 14 in the little girl's section...kind of eaten away and not knowing how he died or who was involved on that fateful night. Please don't think I am nuts but I do love your show and it gives me some hope that when a loved one is lost we can go on and know they have crossed over to a more wonderful place than what we have here on earth at this time. I would appreciate an answer. Oh, if it is of any interest, I met a wonderful man who lost his wife when his house burned down. We became friends, talked about our times of getting through all of this and now we are married. He has things of his late wife, I have things of my late husband, but we believe they have crossed over and brought us together. Respectfully yours, Jenny | |
| Hi Jenny, You did not say how your husband died, but I do not think that he had crossed over. He was worried about you and the children. What happened to you is exactly why earthbound or crossed over ghosts hardly ever show themselves. Look how frightened and upset you were. You thought you were losing it. Of course a ghost can follow the person from place to place. Your husband was still trying to watch over you and the children. In your eyes he was an angel helping you. When he did cross over, maybe he and your current husband's late wife did arrange this new marriage. There is nothing wrong with keeping items from dead spouses as long as the new spouse does not have any objection. Jenny, I feel you and your husband have a marriage arranged from heaven. | Shanda Seymour, IN | Mary Ann, Hi, my name is Shanda and I am from Seymour, Indiana. My grandmother passed away about 19 years ago, supposedly by suicide gunshot to the chest. This is what the police said, but my feelings have always been much different. I strongly feel like someone else was involved, but I was only 10 at the time so I couldn't say much. Even today, I still think about it and I have no rest concerning her death. I have only talked with family about it, but none of them are sure either. My aunt thinks that her dad was involved, but she would never point fingers. My grandfather passed away about eight years after my grandmother did. He did have an evil side, but the police cleared him from the beginning of her death. If you have any feelings on this please respond. Thank you for your time. Shanda | |
| Hi Shanda, It is very hard to lose a loved one to a violent death. You were only ten years old and children do see things from a different perspective, especially since it was your grandmother. After nineteen years there is nothing that can be done. The case was closed as a suicide. If your grandfather was involved, remember he would have had to see your grandmother in the next world and explain to her his actions. But more importantly, he would have been accountable to someone higher up when he died. Another option: When you dream of your grandmother, you can talk to her. Ask her what happened. If she feels you should know, you will get an answer. I think your grandmother is at rest since your grandfather died. I hope this gives you some peace. Mary Ann | ||
| Trudy | Hello! I really enjoy the show. My name is Trudy and I live in Indiana. For the longest time now I've been able to see shadows, not only at home, but at work as well. I am a nurse at a cancer center. I've been there for 2 years now and every time I see a shadow I hear of someone either that day or the next that has passed away. Sometimes I feel like a freak and sometimes I think how can I help? One day I saw two shadows, one following the other, and that day I heard that a couple of our patients had passed away. Is this a gift? Is there some reason why I see these things and no one else does? And why am I seeing them? Trudy | |
| Hi Trudy, Almost all doctors, nurses, or any type of caregiver at cancer centers, have a sixth sense and a knowing that someone has just passed or is going to pass. Sometimes the spirit is out of the body five to six minutes before the bodily functions stop. Sometimes the spirit will wait and leave the body after. When you sense or see a ghost all you have to say is, "Go to the light, your loved ones are there." You do have a special gift working with the dying. It is a hard job physically, emotionally, and spiritually to deal with death week after week. Feel good when you see a ghost. They are on to their next journey and you have helped. | Laurie Moorpark, CA | Hi, I have a child who will be three in March and who is always pointing at the ceiling in the same spot. One night he woke and sat right up, pointing to it in the dark. Ever since, he still points up there. Today I kept asking things like, "Is it grandpa? Grandma?" And he kept saying, "No, no, no." Then he said what sounded like, "Bill." And when I said. "Oh it's Bill?" he got happy and kept pointing. I realized a little later that we purchased our home from a man 10 years ago named Bill who was an elderly man. And I have no way of knowing if he is deceased. This was his home for a long time. So it's kind of got me interested. Laurie | |
| Hi Laurie, Your son is totally seeing someone. I have no way of knowing who it is from a letter. But trust him. Children are very honest at his age when they are seeing or communicating with spirits. Children can see ghosts that are earthbound, ghosts that have crossed over, angels, saints, and even their own guardian angels. Children are so innocent and pure---this is why they have this ability. When your son gets older, you can just ask him who he is seeing and talking to. Mary Ann |
