Summary: When Melinda meets Gabriel, a man who shares her special gift, the two of them are initially shocked and hesitant to share information about their abilities. At the same time, Amy, a flight attendant who died in the plane crash, begins to visit Melinda seeking help from other spirits who are preventing her from crossing over. After some prodding, Gabriel agrees to work with Melinda to help cross Amy over, but becomes irate when he catches Payne following them while they are working with Amy. Melinda then discovers the dark person that Gabriel can be, and goes on to discover that Gabriel isn’t helping spirits cross over, but that he’s been convincing them to stay earthbound with him. Melinda and Gabriel then do battle for Amy’s soul, with Melinda winning the fight only to discover that Gabriel had been spying on her and her loved ones, and that he is in alliance with the larger dark force amassing an army of earthbound souls. Meanwhile, Payne discovers that his wife has been attached to him since dying and that she had an affair. When he refuses to forgive her, she becomes furious vowing that they will regret it.
