Summary: When Melinda’s expectant dinner guest, Holly, experiences pregnancy problems, Melinda encounters a ghost who seems to be attached to Holly. In a later encounter, the ghost, Eric, seems to have different personalities and takes different names, and Melinda struggles to draw a conclusion about why this seemingly schizophrenic ghost has attached himself to Holly. Stranger still, she learns that Eric had tried to cross over but the light rejected him. With some help from Payne, Melinda deduces that Eric has been reincarnated as he still has some earthly lessons to learn and it appears that Holly’s baby will be his next reincarnation. But when Holly gives birth Eric remains and Melinda discovers that she may be pregnant, meaning Eric had been attached to her the whole time. But when Eric learns a final lesson about generosity and selflessness the light finally accepts him, and we learn that Melinda is not pregnant.
